Melita Schaum
Melita Schaum is the author of two works on the modern poet Wallace
Stevens (Wallace Stevens and the Feminine and Wallace
Stevens and the Critical Schools) and two works on women’s issues
(Stalked: Breaking the Silence on the Crime of Stalking in
America and Gender Images: Reading for Composition. She
has received the Dorothy Cappon Churchill Award in Creative
Nonfiction, the New Millennium Writings Prize in Literary Essay, and
was named William A. Rainey Scholar in Creative Nonfiction at the
Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference.
