Edward C. Lorenz

Edward C. Lorenz is the Reid-Knox Professor of History and Professor of Political Science at Alma College, where he also directs the college's Public Affairs Institute.

2012 Historical Society of Michigan State History
Edward C. Lorenze was awarded the prestigious Michigan State Historical Society State History Award for his book, Civic Empowerment in an age of Corporate Greed. Lorenz examines the intersection of corporate irresponsibility and civic engagement. At the heart of this case study is a group of firms responsible for seven of the most contaminated Superfund sites in the United States, the largest food contamination accident in U.S. history, stunning stock and financial manipulations, and a massive shift of jobs off shore.
