Tingli, a multimedia CD-ROM, helps students to develop and practice listening comprehension in a simulated immersion environment. This series guides students in recognizing and practising speech patterns that are most frequently used in China. Chinese idioms, proverbs, songs, poems, geographical terms, and other cross-cultural content are included in 50 lessons that help students to understand not only the language but the culture as well. Detailed grammatical explanations and examples are provided to help students to understand grammar patterns before they start doing the listening drills.

The Tingli cd set contains short stories, dialogues, Chinese idioms, proverbs, Chinese & English translations, and self-paced lessons/drills.
