Why do I need to create an account?
We need certain information to keep records of purchases. This information includes your name and shipping and billing addresses. Also stored in our secure database are the online articles that you may have purchased, bookmarked articles, and past transactions. By creating an account you will save the time of entering in your contact information each time you wish to make a transaction, as well as providing features such as the ability to look up anything you have purchased in the past. Note that your credit card information is NOT stored.

How do I create an account?
You will not be asked to create an account until you are ready to make a purchase. At that point, when you "check out" you will be asked to either create a new account or login with an existing account. If you are a new customer then click "Create Account" and fill in the appropriate information. The highlighted fields are required.

How do I log in?
In the left menu under the Links is a "Log In" link. Click on this link to log in. After logging in, you will be brought back to the page you were previously viewing.

Why am I not logged in anymore?
For security reasons, you will be automatically logged out after one hour of inactivity. To log back in use the "Log In" link in the left-hand menu. Note that if you log out, or are logged out, items stored in your shopping cart will not be there when you log back in.

How do I log out?
On the left hand menu there is a link labeled "Log Out." Clicking this link will log you out, losing any items that were previously stored in your shopping cart, and return you to the page you were previously viewing.

Does this site use cookies?
Yes. Cookies are completely harmless text files used to store information to personlize a website for you. These text files are stored on your computer. Cookies are completely safe, and cannot be forced upon you—you have to have your browser set to accept them (the default setting of many browsers). Note that to use this website, your browser must be able to accept cookies. The only information that we store in cookies are your login ID and your encrypted password. Note that your password is one-way encrypted with an MD5 algorithm, which turns anything encrypted into a 32-character string so that if anyone could read the data stored in your cookies, they would not be able to make use of it. It is also stored in our database in this encrypted fashion.

Is my information private?
Yes. Anything that is vital and stored on your computer is encrypted using an MD5 algorithm, rendering it useless to anyone else. Any records that are stored on our webserver are secured within our database.

Are my purchases secure?
Yes. This website makes use of 128-bit SSL encryption, backed by a $2,500 warranty against fraudulent websites, when you submit any personal or credit card information.

I wish to purchase a subscription, but not online
You may send an e-mail to our subscriptions manager or call our offices with your request. For contact information, please follow the link on the left labeled "Contact Us."

I purchased an online article - how do I download it?
On the left-hand menu is a link labeled "Download Articles." This link will bring you to a page that lists all the articles you have purchased, as well as free articles. Click the checkboxes on the left corresponding to the articles you wish to download, then click the "Download Selected Articles" button. This will prompt you to save a zipped file. To open this file, you will need a program such as Winzip if you are on a PC, or StuffIt if you are on a Mac. Use these programs to extract the articles to a location of your choice. You will then need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the article.

I still have some questions - who do I contact?
At the bottom of each page there is a link labeled, "Contact Us". You may direct all questions to the appropriate person.
