Young Folk BookFest logoYOUNG FOLK BOOKFEST

August 2009

during the MSU Museum's Great Lakes Folk Festival, East Lansing, Michigan.

This is the first annual BookFest event and featured books for children and young adult readers, in a large tent on Abbot Road near Albert Avenue. The two-day event provided entertainment, readings, and discussion sessions with 18 award-winning Michigan and Great Lakes area authors and illustrators. Featured books were displayed and discussion sessions covered a wide range of interests, including African literature and Great Lakes history.
