All
prices and publication dates in both our catalogue and website
are subject to change without notice. Page counts and other technical information in forthcoming book listings reflect estimates that are made at the time of our seasonal catalog publication and are subject to change. Orders will be invoiced
at prices prevailing when the order is received. Individuals and
all international customers must prepay with check, MasterCard,
or Visa. All payments must be U.S. funds only. Titles subject to short discount are marked with an *S.
Examination and desk copies: All requests for complimentary desk and examination copies must be made by the instructor on departmental letterhead and must include the course title and estimated enrollment.
Libraries and other institutions may order directly from Michigan State
University Press: We accept library purchase orders. Libraries may establish standing orders for MSU Press titles by contacting the order fulfillment desk (TEL 517-355-9543 x 100).
Discounts: Titles
that are subject to short discount are marked with an asterisk
( * ). A complete Michigan State University Press discount schedule is available upon request.
Returns: Books may be returned for full credit within one year from the original invoice date. Credit will not be issued for books returned beyond one year. The original invoice number must be included on all return documents. Credit will not be issued for any return that does not include the original invoice number. Returned books must be in salable condition. Credit will not be issued for books with the following damage: scratched, bent, or torn pages, covers, or corners; stained or faded pages and covers; damaged spines; ink marks; box cutter damage; any other damage as declared by the MSU Press Returns department. See below for information on the African Books Collective inventory. Shipment discrepancies must be reported within 20 days of receipt in order to receive replacement stock or credit. Credit for out-of-print books will be given up to six months after the book is out-of-print. After six months credit will not be issued.When credit is not issued for damaged books, the customer may request, at their own expense, the books be returned for up to six months of the return date. Credit memos must be used or redeemed within one year of issue date. Please contact us for a refund if your credit memo is approaching its expiration date.
*Please note re the African Books Collective – for many titles, the quality of the books may be compromised due to circumstances beyond our control, (e.g., quality of African materials taht are available, transportation means, weather conditions). Please take into consideration, the quality of the context in which these books were made and the value they have to offer the North American market before labeling and returning the books as “damaged.” Thank you.
